Beach patrols have returned and the Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club clubhouse is again hosting social events. A 60-year-old surf lifesaving club is riding a wave of community support as it re-emerges from the depths of a lengthy hiatus. The long-serving club folded in 2014 after it struggled to pay its debts, amid stiff competition from Aug 2020. The whole area at Peregian is glorious: beautiful beach, though somewhat wild; and generally good parking depending on time of day. There is a lovely little range of boutiques beside the beach and some excellent cafes and restaurants. Relaxing, fairly unspoilt and just so worth a visit. Peregian Beach Surf Club. Peregian Beach Surf Lifesaving Club moved closer to regaining independence with Noosa Councillors voting at their General Meeting on Tuesday to establish a 10-year lease with the club.
