Daphne gnidium L. (Flax-leaved Daphne) - is native to the areas surrounding the Mediterranean Sea (Southern Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East). In traditional medicine, the leaves of this plant are used as a hypoglycemic agent and for the treatment of skin diseases. It is traditionally used as a medium for dyeing in the textile industry. Daphne gnidium L. species is a medicinal plant growth in the region of the Mediterranean basin, these regions were Northern Africa, Southern Europe and the Middle East [1]. D. gnidium belongs to the genus of daphne which belongs to its family Thymelaeaceae which comprise fifty genera and five hundred species [2].
