The star of the show at each festival was three-time world-champion hoop dancer Alex Wells, also known as the Lord of the Rings. Wells hails from the Lil'wat Nation north of Whistler. His energetic dance using up to 22 hoops was a magical visual display laden with symbolism and meaning. His dance told a story of the creation of life.
