The Prescott Hotshot Crew is based about five miles north of the town of Prescott, Arizona, at the Henry Y.H. Kim Aviation Facility. The Prescott Fire Center is a large facility that is also host to a Fire Cache, Prescott Helitack/Rappellers, Dispatch, Prevention, an Air Tanker Base as well as offices for many of the fire personnel. The State parks often protect cultural, historical and natural resources and provide education and recreation. But one of Arizona's newest state parks — which honors the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who perished in the Yarnell Hill Fire — also serves a higher purpose.
