I hold an LL.M. and a J.S.D. from Yale Law School. After graduating from Yale, I joined the Law School of the University of Tartu in Estonia and founded the Information Technology Law Research and Study Programme. I am currently an Associate Professor of Governance and Legal Policy. I am also the President of the European Young Academies Science Advice Structure (YASAS) and a board member of Helen Eenmaa kaitses Yale Law School'is õigusteaduste doktorikraadi. Ta on valitsemise ja õiguspoliitika kaasprofessor ja üks tehnoloogiaõiguse valdkonna tarmukamaid edendaid Eestis, olles pannud aluse IT-õiguse õppe- ja teadusprogrammile ning infoühiskonna keskusele Tartu Ülikoolis.
