(Irvine, CA) announced plans to co-develop a digital multiphase power management IC called PowerCode for use in next-generation multi-GHz advanced processors. The companies expect to sample a development kit, with a unique software-user interface based on PowerCode, next quarter with volume production to be scheduled in the third quarter of this year. Infineon Technologies announced that it has acquired 100% of Primarion, Inc., which it states will further strengthen its activities in the field of power management applications.
