Lawrence Makoare (born March 20, 1968) is a New Zealand Māori actor who portrayed Lurtz in The Fellowship of the Ring, the Witch-king and Gothmog in The Return of the King. Makoare had also worked with Peter Jackson in the second film of The Hobbit. Makoare while filming The Return of the King, was replaced by Mark Ferguson because he felt claustrophobic over the Witch-king's heavy armoured Lawrence Makoare is known as an Actor.
