The Bluetones' second album Return To The Last Chance Saloon" was preceded by another Top 10 single "Solomon Bites The Worm" in February 1998 . Featuring some orchestral the album was released in March, going straight into the Top 10 of the album chart. The Bluetones ultimately proved to have far more staying power than I originally supposed, even if the band's lack of breadth would perpetually prevent them from recapturing the (modest) heights of Expecting to Fly. 1998's Return to the Last Chance Saloon is the first of many Bluetones follow-ups that I'd classify as "merely good".
