About Hijinks. Mary and Steve have been playing music professionally together and separately for over 30 years. Mary got her start in premiere wedding bands in New York and Phoenix, AZ. She moved to the West coast in 2000, and joined forces with other musicians in the folk-rock arena. Her songs were featured on Tom May's River City Folk One of the more delightful aspects of the vintage jazz revival in New York (and elsewhere) in recent years is the spotlight it has cast on traditional close harmony jazz singing. That tradition begins with the Boswell Sisters, a sensation of the 1930s, and their heirs including the Andrews Sisters and everyone from The Four Freshmen and Lambert Save the date for our English Dance Weekend April 5-7. We have a young exciting caller from Michigan, Mae Wilson, and the new HiJinks band with musicians from Philadelphia and DC: Miranda Weinberg, Kathy Talvitie and Carrie Rose.
