Alphonse Van Bredenbeck de Châteaubriant est un écrivain français. Il est né dans une famille bourgeoise originaire des Pays-Bas établie dans la région de Nantes avec Gaspard van Bredenbeck, dont la veuve acquit en 1693 la terre de Chateaubrillant. Il était le cousin germain du peintre Ferdinand du Puigaudeau (1864-1930), père d Alphonse de Chateaubriant. Writer: La Brière.
