Before coming to Round Rock ISD, Dr. Azaiez served as the Superintendent of Schools in Donna ISD from 2018 to 2021, where he is credited with spurring significant improvements in the Rio Grande Valley district. He developed a five-year strategic plan for the district and expanded course offerings while streamlining business operations for Round Rock ISD continues to post high marks on the state's report card for public schools, with 85 percent of campuses earning an A or B. Overall the District earned a B, which carries a designation of Recognized Performance. More schools earned an A than ever before, with 27 posting the highest possible rating.
