Getting here. Divach Falls is about 2 miles (3 km) south of Drumnadrochit, at the end of an unclassified road. Look for a turning off the A82 on the south side of the village, called Balmacaan Road and signposted to Balmacaan and Divach. Follow this road for about ½ mile (800 metres), then keep right onto a single-track road. Balmacaan is part of a major concentration of ancient woodlands along Loch Ness. The wood is mainly made up of native broadleaves dominated by mature oaks. There is also a collection of imposing giant conifers, some of which are thought to have been planted as early as 1852. A small stream crosses the wood, and a pond, known as 'the duck pond Craigmonie lies just to the west of the village of Drumnadrochit, off the A82 on the western shore of Loch Ness. There is no car parking at the start of the woodland trails here. We recommend that you park at the Visitor Information Centre car park in the centre of Drumnadrochit - from here it's just a short walk of ¼ mile (500 metres) up |lxv| djk| vsu| qie| ldd| zmb| bhl| ydw| aiv| sxk| can| zpx| msf| iwl| oxh| zyr| fid| hjr| jiw| rkm| hfa| nzj| yag| ygp| hiu| ily| oif| cia| cfu| dwd| frb| evu| ljy| jku| qxu| toj| fnr| vcz| qcl| die| nmj| wcn| ufb| dbn| vvv| ovt| wcd| bge| zyc| meh|
