On June 15, the district celebrated the retirement of Lt. Col. Mark DeRocchi after more than 24 years of service in uniform. Most recently, he served as the chief of the Missile Defense Branch beginning in January 2017. Previously, DeRocchi operated as the district deputy commander upon assumption of duties in April 2013. DeRocchi's other assignments include battalion logistics officer for the 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division, where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004 Mark DeRocchi.
