The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is committed to supporting our chapters. We do this by upholding a relationship statement that outlines what we will offer all chapters and our expectations of the fraternity and sorority community. Per our relationship statement, all chapters are required to participate in our Gold Standard program Overview. The 49er Gold Rush 5K has become a February tradition for the Niners. The race, hosted by University Recreation, is open to everyone. Students, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, and Community are encouraged to participate. The Charlotte 49er Gold Dusters are a spirit group on the campus of UNC-Charlotte. The Gold Dusters perform at football and men's and women's basketball games. Along with performing at home basketball games, the Gold Dusters practice 3-4 times a week to prepare for our yearly nationals competition in Daytona Beach, Florida.
