Red Rock is named for its beautiful red rock formations. The area is about 40 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour and is the northernmost beach in the Local Government Area. The beach is patrolled by our Lifeguards in the peak of the summer holidays. The local Surf Life Saving Club also patrols. The tranquil estuary reserve offers shady picnic A beautiful coastal hike through Yuraygir National Park in NSW - just over an hours drive north of Coffs Harbour. This looped route begins and ends from Illaroo North Campsite, where parking and camping is available to the public. From here you'll follow the Sandon Back Trail all the way north till you reach the Sandon River.
