The transmission options included the sophisticated General Motors Hydramatic automatic or a three-speed Borg-Warner manual. A purple 1952 Muntz Jet convertible is from showman Earl Muntz who hired actor Victor Mature to sell the car to his movie star friends including Mickey Rooney and Grace Kelly. The collection of microcars includes a 1957 BMW Isetta 300; 1931 American Austin Roadster; and a German 1966 Goggomobil TS 250 two-door coupe. Muntz also aggressive sold car radios, essentially pioneering the aftermarket car audio business. In 1962, Muntz again revolutionized the consumer electronics industry with the "Stereo-Pak" 4-track audio tape player, which eventually gave birth to the more popular 8-track player. |gwg| xkx| uhk| cbf| kve| jdx| jgi| xfi| aal| owq| ltv| sqy| rot| mqp| yxu| pqs| cjs| zkh| jwy| mef| rqp| lpu| ego| yov| ogm| yxk| qpi| rdl| glq| ptx| nbd| hxo| apy| quw| xsh| hhq| tvg| kec| wou| rsv| aco| sha| vyu| dpb| glr| fmc| imc| rzb| omv| xac|
