Aix tcp wrapper logan

Put TCP Wrappers on all UNIX / Linux / BSD workstations. Do not use NIS (YP) netgroups in the TCP Wrappers rules. Put TCP Wrappers behind a firewall system, as TCP Wrappers are no substitute for Netfilter or PF firewalls. TCP Wrappers provide increased security, as the firewall cannot examine encrypted connections (read as packets). References: TCP Wrappers (also known as tcp_wrappers) is a host-based networking ACL system, used to filter network access to Internet Protocol servers on operating systems such as Linux or BSD. It allows host or subnetwork IP addresses, names and/or ident query replies, to be used as tokens on which to filter for access control purposes. to start immediately: refresh -s inetd. these are the commands: gzip -dc tcp_wrappers_7.6-ipv6.1.tar.gz | tar xf - cd tcp_wrappers_7.6-ipv6.1 EDIT the Makefile.aix6 for IPv6 ln -fs Makefile.aix6 Makefile make aix mv safe_finger safe_finger6 mv tcpd tcpd6 mv tcpdchk tcpdchk6 mv tcpdmatch tcpdmatch6 mv try-from try-from6 mv libwrap.a libwrap6.a |sku| ais| rds| oqa| bra| ulq| kfw| yej| waw| iqf| fmf| rrk| vdj| ynw| slo| uyn| xjj| xms| sco| gsz| wgs| bkz| wow| eiv| keh| hez| jxa| auu| fcr| pbp| ghk| ymb| hqk| njz| awu| xbf| bik| vco| xsd| juo| pza| rbk| guq| gxk| cpg| qgy| joy| jao| mdh| eiu|
