Thiruvizha Sree Mahadeva Temple, renowned for Kaivisham omission, is one of the must visit places in Alappuzha district. Daily hundreds of devotees across the country visit this temple for removing Kaivisha dosha (Black Magic). The temple located in Cherthala, Alappuzha district in Kerala, offers a soothing experience for the devotees. Thiruvizha is about 5 km from Cherthala towards the South West direction and around 6 km North of Alapuzha. In the sanctum there is a small pit with water in it and a Lingam, symbol of Lord Siva is partially seen in the pit. The Lingam will be completely under water during rainy season and may not be visible.
