Celebrating 47 years, the city of San Mateo is hosting its annual Easter celebration with a ton of activities. A large egg hunt for kids 4-9 is at Fitzgerald Field and requires a registered wristband. The Northern California Egg Show & Sale offers a unique glimpse into the fascinating world of egg art, showcasing egg art from regional, national and international artists. Entrance is free to the public. We invite you to come and see how eggs can be transformed into elaborate works of art. Come out and hunt 60,000 eggs at the City's annual Eggstravaganza. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. with the big egg hunt. There will be candy and thousands of eggs spread over five baseball fields, designed for specific age groups: 3 years and under (parents may accompany), 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years and 10-11 years.
