A death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 1998. Bloodbath was initially a fun side-project founded by Dan Swanö, Anders Nyström, Jonas Renkse and Mikael Åkerfeldt, who started playing and writing songs influenced by the Swedish and American death metal scene of the late 1980's/early 1990's. Current line-up: Antihero Magazine had the chance to interview Jonas Renkse of Bloodbath and Katatonia at Bloodstock Open Air 2018. The Bloodbath lineup has always been stacked with heavy hitters from the extreme metal underground. Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström from Katatonia; Dan Swanö from Edge of Sanity; and Mikael Åkerfeldt from Opeth were the band's co-founders.
