In late summer, reticulated giraffe Arnieta gave birth to her calf Kinda (rhymes with Linda). Arnieta suffered miscarriages in 2021 and 2022, so zoo staff were excited about the arrival of the new calf after a 15-month pregnancy. Kinda was 6 feet tall and 130 pounds at birth.
