Born in Brooklyn, New York, Paul Strisik became a resident of Rockport, Massachusetts, where he did landscape painting that brought him national recognition. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he studied at the Art Students League in New York City and with Painter Paul Strisik was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1918. Strisik was a member of the Rockport Art Association where he served as president from 1968-1972, the American Watercolor Society, the Allied Artist of American, the Knickerbocker Artists, and an associate member of the National Academy of Design.
