The Universal Serial Bus (USB) has been the most successful peripheral interface in the history of PCs. USB 2.0 is capable of keeping up with the high bandwidth requirements of mass-storage peripherals. The basis for any USB 2.0 mass storage peripheral is a USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI bridge board. The USB 2.0 bus, however, neither communicates with nor understands ATA/ATAPI commands. A USB 2.0 to U2H4+ATA11S is an USB 2.0 four port HUB with one USB to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) bridge. U2H4+ATA11S provides three downstream USB ports, one IDE (ATA&ATAPI) port. It is ideally suited for docking station solution which need more USB port and interface for connecting two ATA devices.
