Sri Adi Kesava Perumal is also called Mahadahvaya and Mylapuradapadh. The five day teppam festival of Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple in Mylapore began on January 24 evening, Friday. Since there is no water in the Chitrakulam - the tank of this temple, the temple authorities have created a symbolic tank around the central mantapam inside the Chitrakulam and filled it with water.
