Pioneer Park in Fairbanks is a treasure trove of museums, each offering a unique glimpse into different facets of Alaska's rich history. Visiting these museums at Pioneer Park provides a comprehensive and immersive experience of Alaska's history, culture, and achievements. Whether you're a history buff, a cultural enthusiast, or simply Pioneer Park is free to enter, and its concessions are open between Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. There are some events held in the off-season as well (the park itself is open year-round). Pioneer Park Hours: 12.00 pm to 8.00 pm Daily (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Admission Fee: None. Location: Heart of Fairbanks. Fun place to visit if you find yourself in Fairbanks. There's lots of interesting history and the people, some of whom are in period costumes, are very nice. The park is clean and litter-free, at least when we were there. There are some food options, or you can bring a picnic. Visited June 2023.
