The Bottelary Hills MTB route runs over 20 farms in the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy area just outside Stellenbosch. Funds from the MTB route are used to fund the conservancy. Starting at The Only One Restaurant on Bottelary Road. Makes for stunning riding for the skilled and not-so-skilled rider. Located in the northwest from the town of Stellenbosch, Bottelary Hills is bordered approximately by the R304 and M22. It too incorporates conservation areas. These include the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy that was founded in 1992 and involves private landowners in the preservation of regioal fauna and flora. In my research team, we are investigating novel methods to enable imaging of metabolism and physiology of diseases and treatments non-invasively to aid clinical decision making.
