Hiren Bhattacharya. Popularly known as Hiru Da among assamese, poet (Sugandhi pokhilar kobi) Hiren Bhattacharya was born in Jorhat district at Assam in the year 1932. His father was Late Tirthanath Bhattacharyya who was a jailer and mother was Late Snehalata Bhattacharyya. He was one of the welknown poets in Assamese language. Hiren Bhattacharya, also known as Hiruda, was an Indian poet and lyricist best known for his works in Assamese literature.
