The Business Co-op Program is an optional program within the Bachelor of Commerce degree, where students supplement their regular academic coursework with 12 months of full-time work experience before graduating. Students must be admitted to the University of Alberta Bachelor of Commerce Program in order to apply to the Co-op Program. Yes I would say majority of the co op positions are in the summer and 4 month terms. However you need a min of 12 months of work experience to have co op tagged on to your degree so you will have to work during a fall or winter semester eventually.
