(Ato Quayson is Professor of English and inaugural Director of the Centre for Diaspora Studies at the University of Toronto. He studied at the University of Ghana and the University of Cambridge and was also a Fellow of Pembroke College, Director of the Centre for African Studies, and on the Faculty of English at Cambridge and for a decade before moving to Toronto in 2005.  As well as This book examines tragedy and tragic philosophy from the Greeks through Shakespeare to the present day.
