Ted gildredサンディエゴ

In the late 1970s, in preparation for the anniversary of the feat, the Gildred Foundation worked hand-in-hand with the San Diego Aero-Space Museum (as it was then called) to recreate Theodore Gildred's historic 1931 flight in a single-engine aircraft named Ecuador II. The Ecuador II, a 1943 Stinson Reliant from SDASM's collection, was used Theodore Gildred, Sr. Personal Papers. Theodore Gildred, Sr. (1900-1967) was born on May 12, 1900, in Rochester, New York, one of nine children. His parents moved to South America in 1905, and he was educated in Argentina and Ecuador. He entered New York University in 1915 and graduated in 1918 as a civil engineer. The San Diego Air & Space Museum is mourning the loss of Ted Gildred Jr., who passed away on January 3, 2019 at the age of 83. The Gildred's could be considered a "First Family of Flight," and sought to better international relations while doing what they loved, flying.
