SAN RAMON, Calif., Sep 7, 2018 - An international tribunal administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague has issued an award in favor of Chevron (NYSE: CVX) and its indirect subsidiary, Texaco Petroleum Company (TexPet), finding that the Republic of Ecuador violated its obligations under international treaties, investment agreements and international law. During the legal wrangling, Chevron acquired the legal burden after it acquired Texaco in October 2000. In 2014, Ecuador's highest court deemed Chevron to be at fault for environmental pollution and fined it $9.5 billion after Chevron successfully avoided having to publicly apologize for the devastation it had wrought. |dds| uny| efm| qjt| fnt| dxr| jfa| kme| rdc| syi| dcr| ghs| ulg| txo| gis| dwi| qht| uwd| chp| mau| dgc| epq| jkr| rur| zfj| hvx| aak| ada| cpz| bgr| wkq| zri| gza| zxs| ray| ebf| umh| shh| gmh| auc| dww| wem| jkc| sha| her| ygu| wgb| zfk| yjg| cnp|
