The ancient evergreen oak is estimated to be at least 450 years old and is a Great Tree of London. It may have been planted by Bishop Grindal (1559-1570), who sent grapes grown at the palace to Elizabeth I each year. Fulham Palace also runs an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions in the newly created gallery space. Our award-winning curriculum-based school sessions offer students of all ages the opportunity to unravel the past through engaging, hands-on experiences, creating lasting memories while exploring history in a truly unforgettable way.
