This legendary castle is one of the older historic sites in Victoria with its construction beginning in the 1800's. Robert Dunsmuir, an affluent coal baron, was in charge of the castle being built, and had plans to live in the elegant building with his wife, 2 sons and 8 daughters upon its completion.
