The building was taken away from the level crossing at Weston Rhyn in 1991 after the signalling became automatic. It has been stored at the Llangollen railway's Carrog yard since then, ready for Weston Rhyn station shown on a 1:25,000 scale map from 1957. To the north of the station can be seen the Ifton Colliery exchange sidings and heading off from them eastwards is the colliery branch.
