Sections. AALS has a dual mission: it both represents most of the nation's law schools and serves as the learned society for legal educators and law school professional staff. The sections all present programs at the AALS Annual Meeting and work throughout the year to engage their members through newsletters, discussion lists, and webinars. The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) held its Annual Meeting in San Diego, California from January 3-7, 2023. The Meeting's theme centered around, "How Law Schools Can Make a Difference," and New York Law School was very well represented. More than 3,000 law school faculty, deans, professional staff, and sponsors gathered virtually from January 5-9 at the 2022 AALS Annual Meeting. Over five days, the meeting included moderated panels, interactive discussions, and networking events in addition to annual AALS business.
