Adopting a noirish mood amid an austere dystopian backdrop, it's the sort of Orwellian vision that could only exist in a movie. Gattaca is one of those rare films that actually makes you think of what could be. The acting is superb, particularly from Ethan Hawke and Jude Law, and the settings excellent.
