Andrew Jackson's parents were Andrew Jackson (d. 1767) and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson (d. 1781), originally of Ireland and immigrants to the United States. They had three sons: Hugh, Robert, and Andrew Jackson (1767-1845). Jackson's father died before he was born, and his widowed mother took him and his brothers to live with nearby relatives. Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 - June 8, 1845) was an American lawyer, planter, general, and statesman who served as the seventh president of the United States from 1829 to 1837. Before his presidency, he gained fame as a general in the U.S. Army and served in both houses of the U.S. Congress. Often praised as an advocate for ordinary MJ performing Scream in Bremen back in 1997 as part of the HIStory World Tour.
