The Noel-Baker School development involved the rebuilding and co-location of Noel-Baker School, a mainstream secondary school with St Martins School, a special education school. As part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Programme this £40m new-build project in Derby opened in September 2012 and accommodates the 1,150 pupils from the Noel-Baker Academy is located in Alvaston, Derby and falls under the local authority of Derby. This mixed-sex secondary school has 1,120 pupils, with a capacity of 1,400, aged from eleven up to sixteen, and the type of establishment is academy sponsor led. The most recend Ofsted inspection was 16th February 2022 resulting in an good rating.
