From Oscoda - River Road ORV Trailhead. Travel west on River Rd. for 13 miles. The site is lcoated on the left. Doubling as a snowmobile trail in winter, the Huron East ORV Trail is an out and back trail system spanning 45.4 miles. Four trailheads provide access at numerous points on the trail. ORVs 50″ or less, including off-road The Huron ORV Trail starts just west of the town of Oscoda and Lake Huron shoreline and covers over 30 miles of scenic and rugged terrain in Huron National Forest. The out-and-back ORV trail is wide and sandy with very little change in elevation. The trail is open to motorized vehicles that are 50 inches less or width. With more than 35,000 acres of natural area, hikers, bikers, and ORV riders can experience abundant natural treasures on the trails stretching into every corner of our phases completed in our region. Phase 1 is a 2.73 mile portion from AuSable to Oscoda, Mill St to River Rd, and out to Oscoda High School.
