This competitive event give teams from all over the country the opportunity to participate at the legendary ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This event will be sold out once maximum capacity for the venue is reached. The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. The Durham Hurricanes is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide children ages 5 and up the opportunity to play sports in a competitive, support, and nurturing atmosphere.
