Hemm Klok started noticing the women on fire trucks after moving to San Francisco in 2015 to work at WIRED. She left the company in 2016, and began the series later that year, showing up at Jack Friday on KLOK-FM 103.7 in San Francisco. This format was a strange one (but kind of fun actually), Yes/No Radio where the listeners could call in a vot I remember KLOK from the 70's -80's ,they weren't great but decent in most of what they did, my opinion. I recall in the early 70's I think the guy on in the morning was Buddy Hatton ,he'd ID three stations during his show ,he was on KWIZ Santa Ana ,KLOK San Jose and another one up in Seattle with his morning show.
