The iron foundry was established in the 1850s by Philo Bradley (1829-1908). It specialized in manufacturing roughly two million plowshares and other iron implements. It was passed down through the generations of Bradleys and closed its doors in 1962. It was most recently used by the paper and plastics wholesaler Howard Spangler Company. Harrisonburg is an independent city in the Shenandoah Valley region of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. It is also the county seat of the surrounding Rockingham County, although the two are separate jurisdictions. At the 2020 census, the population was 51,814.
