The Skokie, IL, American Legion Post No. 320 Indians Drum and Bugle Corps was organized in 1947 and was manned almost entirely by World War I veterans. Some of the original members were formerly with the old Evanston, IL, American Legion Post No. 42 drum and bugle corps. World War II veterans began appearing at rehearsals in 1949.Chicago Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps at the 1969 VFW Nationals Prelims in Philadelphia JFK Stadium..1st in Prelims 2nd in Finals. The Chicago Bears Drumline was founded in 2005 as an ensemble presented by the World Champion Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps.
