We turn left and head up towards a small waterfall. Following the path we come to an information board of Dilstons history (Video 14:50). Following a well signed path we head west through Park Wood and Cock Wood, passing Dukes House on our way. Turning right (Video 16:05) we follow the River Tyne Trail on our way back to Hexham. Dilston Physic Garden is brimming with over 700 medicinal plants, plants used by humans throughout history for health and medicine and all grounded in the science of how they work. This physic garden has a unique character that evokes the magic and medicine of plants. It is also a garden for wellbeing, a unique space to relax and calm the mind.
