Pilvi Takala (b. 1981, Helsinki / Finnland) lives and works between Helsinki and Berlin. Her video works are based on performative interventions in which she researches specific closed communities to question social structures. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki; and Glasgow School of Art. Pilvi Takala uses performative interventions as a means to process social structures and question the normative rules and truths of our behaviour in different cultural contexts.
