The LUSC Evaluations involve mostly placing players in small-sided games (3v3 to 6v6). There will also be additional activity-based stations. Small-sided games provide players with the opportunity to have maximum touches on the ball as well as the opportunity to make numerous decisions in a game-like environment in a short period of time. The Lexington Player Development Academy (LPDA), founded in fall 2008, provides Lexington United Soccer players with advanced training and competitive team play, similar to club teams but more affordable and local. The LPDA, led by LUSC Director of Coaching Brendan Donahue, selects a limited number of dedicated and skilled players from Lexington. Shana Marie Triplett, 30, of Morganton, NC passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020. She was born in Wilkes County on December 16, 1989 to Ricky Allen Triplett and Debra Kay Love Triplett. Shana was a caring and loving soul. She loved horses and was a horse trainer.
