Manastirea Crasna a fost infiintata in prima jumatate a secolului al XVIII-lea, de catre cativa sihastri din zona Valenii de Munte. Proprietarul acestor locuri, postelnicul Dinu Constantin Potlogea, hotaraste, in 1828, zidirea unei biserici pentru satul Bajenari.
