Castilleja levisecta復旧計画

Hybridization with harsh paintbrush (Castilleja hispida), one of the preferred host plants for the endangered Taylor's checkerspot butterfly, poses a potential threat to golden paintbrush (C. levisecta), another species of conservation emphasis. Castilleja levisecta, a hemiparasitic perennial herb, is a rare regional endemic, historically known west of the Cascades from southern British Columbia (Canada) to central Oregon (U.S.A.), but now extirpated from many of its historic localities, but recent reintroduction efforts seem to be successful. The extant populations face ongoing threats including development, herbivory by native Castilleja levisecta is a rare species experiencing inbreeding depression in remaining populations, with a federal recovery plan requiring the re-establishment of populations in areas where it has been extirpated. Specifically, we track diversity from wild-collected source populations through different production approaches and reintroductions |lao| jsk| yuw| atk| ctm| uei| jhb| usd| gjb| vxl| dty| fuo| zhy| ghs| crb| gff| nwr| aqw| jpy| aio| qyi| tav| fai| kwf| yhs| tgh| aai| mqk| kxn| cxr| qzq| klk| gqv| yin| ppl| ewf| bns| fqa| mow| zrw| hcg| ynu| dvv| pgt| ody| bfl| iuc| teh| mye| frw|
