This new production is directed by Tim Albery with sets and costumes by Tobias Hoheisel. Lighting design and choreography are by David Finn and by Helen Pickett, the latter in her debut with this company. The final act of Les Troyens contrasts, in the main, sharply with the tender moments of the preceding. Here the two major parts place a Albery's Grimes on the Beach (DVD), an outdoor staging of Peter Grimes in Suffolk for the Aldeburgh Festival, won the 2013 International Opera Award for best production.
